PM issues instructions to tackle flood

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged all concerned to remain alert to tackle flood situation of the different parts of the country.

The Premier made the instruction at the virtual Cabinet meeting on Monday.

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said this at a press briefing after the Cabinet meeting.

‘Today's meeting mainly discussed the country’s flood situation, so that we all remain alert with the situation. Waters are slowly rolling down from the upstream,’ he said.

Matters relating to relief and rescue operations have come up in the meeting for discussion, added the Cabinet Secretary.
