PM mourns death of Badar Uddin Kamran

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League central executive committee member and former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.

In a condolence message on Monday, she said that Kamran will remain alive in the heart of mass people through his works.

The Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran died of coronavirus around 3.00am on Monday at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka.

On June 5, Kamran tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Sylhet Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital.

On June 7, he was taken to Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka by a special helicopter of Air Force as his physical condition deteriorated due to Covid-19 infection.
