PM mourns death of MP Mannan

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of organising secretary to Awami League and Member of the Parliament Abdul Mannan.

In a condolence message, the Prime Minister recalled the contribution of the former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League in various democratic movements.

"Awami League lost a skilled organiser and a devoted activist," she said.

The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Awami League MP of Bogura -1 constituency Mannan breathed his last at the capital’s Labaid Hospital at 8:15am while undergoing treatment there.

Mannan, a native of Hindukandi in Bogura’s Sariakandi Upazila, was thrice elected to parliament from Bogura in 2008, 2014 and 2018.
