PM releases commemorative postage stamps

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has released a special commemorative postage stamp of Taka 16 denomination to mark the 46th Victory Day.

The premier released the commemorative postage material, issued by Bangladesh Post Office, at her official Ganobhaban residence Friday morning using special cancellers.

The sale of this special commemorative postage stamp will begin at all post offices in the country from Saturday.

Four other commemorative stamps of Taka 3, 7, 10 and 12 denomination and a souvenir of Taka 45 denomination were released on the occasion.

At the same time, the prime minister also released two first day covers of Taka 10 denomination each and two data cards of Taka five each on the occasion.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim and other high officials of the postal department were, among others, present during the release.
