PM’s India tour postponed

Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s scheduled three-day official visit to India has been postponed due to an unavoidable reason.

A source from the government high-ups confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Thursday afternoon.

New schedule for the tour will be disclosed soon, the source said.

The Prime Minister was scheduled to leave for India on December 18 to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues with her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi during the visit.

With this visit, both sides hoped that the relations between Bangladesh and India will see a newer dimension as there will be fresh initiatives to take forward the ties to the next level.

This visit will be PM`s maiden standalone state visit to India after Modi came to power.
