Papia’s two cohorts put on fresh remand

A Dhaka Court placed two cohorts of expelled Jubo Mohila League leader Shamima Nur Papia alias Peu on a five days fresh remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Didar Hossain passed the order on Sunday.

The accused are Sabbir Khandakar and Sheikh Taiba Nur.

Earlier, investigation officer M Saiful Islam placed the accused before the court seeking 10 days remand.

On Saturday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained four members of a gang of currency counterfeiters including Papiya and seized fake currencies of various countries from their possession at Dhaka airport.
