Police monitoring salt price in city

Police have started drives to keep stable salt prices in the market.
Amid price hike rumour, police on Tuesday took the decision in a meeting to monitor the market whether any trader or retailer is demanding extra price for salt or storing it for ill motive.
Pralay Kumar Saha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mugda Police Station, confirmed the news to risingbd.
He said, “We are monitoring salt price in the market. We are also searching for whether someone is reserving salt. The surveillance will be continued.”
Kazi Wazed Mia, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sutrapur Police also confirmed the news.
It was learnt that cops are conducting drives at different places in Mirpur, Tejgaon, Malibag, Old Dhaka police stations in the capital to check the market and made people aware of the rumour.
