Power price hiked again

The government has again increased the prices of electricity for retail and bulk consumers.
In a press conference, Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) confirmed the matter on Thursday.
According to the new declaration, currently per unit retail price of electricity is Tk6.77. And now, the price will increase by 5.3% to Tk7.13. The new prices will be effective from March this year.
Besides, the bulk electricity price will shoot up by 8.3% to Tk5.17 from Tk4.77.
