Professor Anisuzzaman not out of danger

National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Universal Cardiac Hospital in the capital, is not out of danger.

Dr. Ashis Kumar Chakraborty, Managing Director (MD) of the hospital, told this to risingbd on Tuesday afternoon.

He said, “Though physical condition of Professor Dr Anisuzzaman is currently stable, he is not out of danger. He has been suffering from kidney, cardiac diseases, blood infection and old-age complications.”

He has been kept at Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital under its chief cardiologist Professor Dr Khandoker Kamrul Islam, he added.

Professor Anisuzzaman was hospitalised on Monday noon.

His son Ananda Zaman said, “My father (Anisuzzaman) had been admitted to Labaid Hospital in the first week of April for lung and kidney treatment. He was again hospitalised. Physicians said he has been suffering from cardiac diseases and old-age complications.”
