Public transports will run during Eid: Obaidul Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that public transports will continue to run on roads during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

Quader said this through a video message on Thursday.

“I want to make you clear that during this Eid public transports will continue to run,” he said.

However, goods-laden vehicles -- except those used for emergency services, transporting medicines, cattle and garment products -- will remain off the roads from three days ahead of Eid, he said.

Obaidul said that people travelling during Eid have to strictly follow health regulations otherwise the infection caused by coronavirus would spread further.

He also requested people to stay at home.
