Senior Correspondent: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, on behalf of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has exchanged Eid greetings with civil society, diplomats, political party leaders and people of all section.
The ceremony of exchanging Eid greetings was arranged at the party’s central office at Bangabandhu Avenue on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who is currently on state visit in Finland joined the ceremony through videoconference and exchanged greetings.
During the greeting exchange ceremony, Quader said, “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we will represent a better future before the nation.”
He, also road transport and bridges minister, said the country is now on the highway of development and the trend would be continued.
“We will build a ‘Sonar Bangla’ with maintaining Bangabandhu’s ideology. Awami League will be well organised. The party will be much stronger by team work,” he added.
He said this year almost all diplomats including from Islamic countries, Europe, the USA and India joined the ceremony of exchanging Eid greetings.
Referring to the Eid journey, the minister said Eid journey was very comfortable on highways as there was no traffic congestion on the country’s roads and highways.
AL Advisory Council Member Amir Hossain Amu, Presidium Member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, AL Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Organizing Secretaries Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan and AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Deputy Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Dhaka City South AL President Abul Hasnat and General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad were present on the occasion.
