Rangamati hanging bridge goes under water

Rangamati Correspondent: The hanging bridge over Kaptai Lake in Rangamati has been inundated with rise of water level in the lake.

Srijon Bikash Barua, manager at Rangamati office of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), said due to heavy downpour and rush of hilly water, the bridge has gone under water during the last several days.

As a result, we are compelled to suspend movement of people on the bridge from Wednesday.

The bridge will reopen after renovation of the bridge and decrease in water level, he also said.
