Rangpur BNP president Mozaffar dies

Staff Correspondent: Rangpur city BNP president Mozaffar Hossain died of a cardiac arrest here on Sunday night (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).

He fell sick while returning home after attending a programme marking 41st founding anniversary of the party and breathed his last at his own residence around 9:00pm.

City BNP general secretary Shahidul Islam Miju confirmed the death of Mozaffar Hossain.

He left behind wife, one son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Mozaffar was also small and cottage industry affairs secretary of central BNP and a freedom fighter.

Meanwhile, BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock at the sudden demise of Mozaffar.

In separate condolence messages, they prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to bereaved family members.
