Rifat Murder: Police press charges against 24

Barguna Correspondent: Police submitted a charge-sheet against 24 people including Minni, in the sensational-murder case of Rifat Sharif in Barguna.

Humayun Kabir, Investigation Officer (IO) in the case filed the charge-sheet before the court on Sunday afternoon.

The main accused Nayan Bond was release from the case as he was killed in a gunfight with police.  

Following the charge-sheet and accused, police did not agree to provide any more information. Besides, Investigation Officer (IO) denied to talk over the issue.

Earler on August 29, the HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman HC granted permanent bail to Minni on condition of not speaking to media.

On June 26, miscreants swooped on Rifat Sharif with machetes in front of Barguna Government College in broad day light, leaving him critically injured. Later, he succumbed in Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital on the day.
