Risingbd stands by ‘Asmani’ to fulfill her dream

Honufa Begum, who was termed as ‘Asmani of this era’ in a story on the country’s online news portal “risingbd” on Thursday, used to dream someone to stand by her with food. She will have meals with satisfaction. Her dream finally comes true!

Uday Hakim, Advisory Editor of risingbd, came forward to assist Honufa Begum after he read through the story of her miserable life.

On Friday, Raihan Hossain, student of Dhaka College and also writer of risingbd campus segment, arrived at Honufa’s home with food, essential commodities for month and iftar for month of Ramadan.

The food stuffs include rice, pulse, edible oil, soaps, salt, onion and iftar for month of Ramadan.

Uday Hakim, Advisory Editor of risingbd, said, “When I read through the story of Honufa Beguma on the news portal, I think it is a humanitarian responsibility to stand beside her at this moment. So, I took initiatives to reach her food and essential commodities.”

He further said, “Even before this, Risingbd stands beside many helpless like Honufa Begum and this will continue.”
