$2b in remittances arrive in 21 days

Bangladesh received $2 billion in remittances in fthe irst 21 days of December, according to the latest update from the central bank.
The average daily inflow stands at 9 crore, 56 lakh US dollar.
This data was revealed in the latest report by Bangladesh Bank, published on Sunday (December 15).
According to central bank report, the 200 crore, 72 lakh, 30 thousand US dollar received during the first 21 days of December. The country received 157.50 crore USD in November, and 157.29 crore USD in October.
61.31 crore USD arrived through three state-owned banks, 7.73 crore USD via a specialized bank while 131.16 crore USD through private banks, 51.60 crore USD via foreign banks, said the report.
