Letter sent to Foreign Ministry to return Sheikh Hasina

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that a letter has been sent to the Foreign Ministry to take necessary measures to return former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from India.

He said this while replying to a question of journalists during a function at BGB headquarters in the capital’s Pilkhana on Monday (December 23).

The home affairs adviser said, “We have already sent a letter to the Foreign Ministry for her extradition. This process is underway. We have an extradition treaty with India. She will be brought back to the country following that treaty.”
