Road Transport Act to be enforced from Nov 1

The much talked Road Transport Act- 2018 will be enforced from November 1.

A gazette in this regard was issued by the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry on Tuesday.

According to the new, the drivers will have to face maximum five years’ imprisonment and Tk5 lakh fine or both for causing severe injuries or any death of any person due to reckless driving.

Earlier, on September 19, 2018 the act was passed by the Jatiya Sangsad passed.
