Staff Correspondent: Rumeen Farhana, the lone BNP MP from reserved seat, has withdrawn her application regarding the allocation of a 10-katha plot of land from the government.
In a letter to Housing and Public Works Ministry on Tuesday, she said, “Respecting sentiment of the grassroots leaders and activists of my party, the BNP, I’m revoking the application I had sent [to housing and public works ministry] in an official format of the Jatiya Sangsad on 3 August seeking a plot at Purbachal. I’m requesting to take necessary actions in this regard.”
Earlier, she made the request in a letter on last August 3 sent to Housing and Public Works Ministry. On the pad of Parliament, she wrote that she needs a 10-katha plot at Dhaka Purbachol Residential Area.
