SC orders to submit Khaleda’s medical report

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has directed to submit former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s medical report by December 5.

The court also set the date December 5 for the appeal hearing in the Zia Charitable Trust Case.

 A six-member bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order on Thursday morning.

Earlier on November 25, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court set the date  for the appeal hearing.

On November 14, BNP Chairperson filed the appeal with the Appellate Division against a High Court order that rejected her bail plea in the same case.

Also, on July 31, a High Court bench rejected Khaleda's bail petition in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case, in which she was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
