Samrat won’t be spared: Obaidul

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that Juba League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat will not be spared if evidence of corruption and irregularities is found against him.

“We did not say that Samrat will be spared. No one will be spared if he or she is involved in irregularities, corruption, drug and criminalization. Investigations have already begun. We’ll take steps against all based on the probe findings”, he said.

The minister came up with the remarks while speaking at a press briefing at the Secretariat on Tuesday noon.

The ongoing drives against corruption, drugs and criminalization will continue until the menaces are uprooted, he said.

The ongoing drives will continue not only in the capital but also across the country, he added.
