One more dengue patient dies, 46 hospitalised in 24 hrs

A dengue patient died while 46 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am on Friday (June 23), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Some 36 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 10 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital in the 24 hours, said the DGHS release.

According to DGHS, this year till today 4,935 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 1,404 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

This year a total 40 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

So far, the DGHS has recorded 6,339 dengue cases and 4,917 recoveries.
