Selim Pradhan put on fresh remand

A Dhaka court put Salim Pradhan, alleged kingpin behind online casino business in the country, and two of his cohorts on a three-day fresh remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder passed the order on Friday.

The two other accused are- Aktaruzzaman and Roman.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 Sub-Inspector Harun-or-Rashid produced the accused before the court and sought 5 days remand.

Earlier, on September 30, RAB arrested Selim from a Bangkok bound flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Later a raid was conducted in Selim’s offices in Gulshan and Banani. Meanwhile, foreign liquor, Tk 29 lakh and foreign currencies were seized from his offices.
