Setu on 4-day remand in Abrar murder case

A court in Dhaka placed another accused named SM Mahmud Setu on a four-day remand in the case filed over murder of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim passed the order on Monday.

Earlier, the investigating officer (IO) of the case, Wahiduzzaman, placed Setu before the court with a seven-day remand plea.

On October 27, detectives arrested Setu from capital’s Bangla Motor area. So far, 21 people were arrested in connection with the killing.
