Arabic month of Shaban will be counted from Friday (March 27) as the moon was not sighted on Wednesday.
As per to that, the Shab-e-Barat will be observed on Thursday (April 9).
The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision in a meeting on Wednesday evening.
Dr Anis Mahmud, director general of the Islamic Foundation said the moon of Shaban was not sighted anywhere of the country. So, Shab-e-Barat would be observed on April 9.
