Shahed is very shrewd, cunning and avaricious: Rab DG

Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said though Regent Group Chairman Shahed Karim claimed himself innocent, he is actually very shrewd, cunning and avaricious.

He said this in a press briefing at 3:00pm on Wednesday.

RAB DG said, ‘Masud Parvez, Managing Director (MD) of Regent Group was arrested from Kapasia in Gazipur on Tuesday night. Shahed Karim, Chairman of Regent Group was arrested as per information Masud Parvez provided.’

Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said, ‘Tk 1.46 lakh fake note was recovered conducting a drive at Shahed’s main office at Uttara in the capital. Besides, several materials including a briefcase were seized.’

Mentionable, RAB arrested Shahed Karim around 5:10am on Wednesday while he was attempting to flee the country through border.
