Shamim, Khaled put on remand

So called Juba League leader GK Shamim and expelled Juba League leader Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan have been put on a seven-day remand in separate two corruption cases.

Md Al Mamun of Senior Special Judge Court granted the remand on Sunday when police produced them before it seeking a 10-day remand.

On September 30, the Anti-Corruption Commission formed a probe team to investigate the assets of the people who were found involved with illegal casino business.

Later,  the commission filed two cases against  GK Shamim and Khalid Mahmud Bhuiyan for their alleged accumulation of huge illegal wealth.
