Son kills father in Munshiganj

Munshiganj Correspondent: A man was stabbed to death reportedly by his mentally-ill son in Senpara Durgabari area of Sholghor union under Sreenagar upazila in the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Shahed Ali, 60.

Police and local sources said that the victim’s son Jahid Hasan was a mentally-ill. His treatment was underway. At around 5:30am, Jahid attacked his father with a sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Sreenagar police station OC Yunus Ali said that police arrested the killer son.
