Students need internet: Mustafa Jabbar

Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar said, students need digital devices and Internet to cope with the fourth industrial revolution.

The minister said this while addressing an online seminar and `northern digital campaign 2020` organized by Northern University on Thursday (July 9).

He said, proper investment to build skilled human resource is needed. Construction of prosperous Bangladesh will not face bar If digital education technology like artificial intelligence in educational institutions, robotics, block chain, IOT can be expanded.

The minister also said 65 percent of the country’s total population is young. Of them, 4 to 5 crore are students. In order to accelerate the ongoing progress of building the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu`s dream, the students must be developed as useful digital human resources.

Northern University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Anwar Hossain presided over the seminar where the varsity Chairman Professor Dr Abu Yusuf Md Abdullah, Pro VC professor Dr Engineer Md Humayun Kabir joined.
