Sunamganj boat capsize: one body recovered

A man's body has been found after a boat capsized in the Patlai River in Sripur Uttar union under Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj.

The deceased was known as Md Tawfik Mia, 30, son of Siraz Mia, hailed from Khalishajuri village of the upazila.

Police and locals said, on Saturday night, an engine-run boat carrying 18 people capsized in the river, leaving the man missing. The body was found this morning.

Tahirpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Atiqur Rahman confirmed the matter.
