Technical flaw at Biman flight again

Staff Correspondent: A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight on Monday returned to Dhaka after suffering a technical glitch.

A source from Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirmed the news.

The source said the aircraft carrying 34 passengers on board took off from the Shahjalal International Airport for Yangoon, the capital of Myanmar, at 1:30pm on Monday, but it returned at 2:45pm.

Biman`s General Manager (public relations) Shakil Meraz said, "The pilot found the cabin pressure low while flying over Chittagong. Then he returned to Dhaka," he said, adding that the plane then left for Yangoon at 5:30pm after repair.

He further said, “This has taken place due to technical glitch. But no accident took place. The passengers on board have reached Myanmar safely.”

On November 27, a Boeing aircraft of the struggling flag carrier, which was carrying the prime minister to Hungary, had to make an emergency landing at the Turkmenistan airport.
