Two cases filed over Ashulia labour unrest

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Two separate cases have been filed in connection with the vandalism at a garment factory in Ashulia, the Dhaka`s outskirts.

Around 38 known and over hundred unknown garment workers have been made accused in the two cases.

The authorities of Windy Group (Export oriented garments manufacturer) in Jamgora area and Fountain Garments Manufacturing Ltd. (FGML) in Uttar Bypile area of the industrial belt have filed the cases with Ashulia Police Station on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, the authority of Windy Group has sacked 120 workers following the unrest demanding wage increment of readymade garment workers.
