Two shot dead in Khagrachari

Two people including a member of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) were shot dead by miscreants in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place around 8.45am in Mordha Banchhara area of Babuchhara union under the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Babu Chakma, a member of UPDF, and Bangala Chakma, a villager.

Confirming the matter, Khagrachhari Police Super MM Salah Uddin said the dead bodies have been recovered.

A rival group of UPDF attacked them over establishing supremacy in the area, he added.
