UGC decides to hold entry tests in cluster system

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to introduce a "cluster system" to enroll students to public universities after five leading universities opted out of the "uniform admission test".

UGC Chairman Kazi Shahidullah made the announcement after a view-exchange meeting with chancellors of public universities.

“A total of 34 public universities will follow uniform admission test system. Those universities will not join then the process will go on leaving them,” UGC Chairman said.
