UP chairman lynched in Netrokona

Netrokona Correspondent: An Union Parisad chairman has been lynched by miscreants in district`s  Mohanganj upazila.

The deceased was identified as Mahbubul Alam Khan Rana, 48, Union Parisad chairman of Barotoli Banihari Union.

Local sources said that a group of people attacked the chairman with iron rods and other lethal weapons on Thursday evening, leaving him critically injured.

Later, Mahbubul Alam was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where he died under treatment on Friday morning.
