Pabna Correspondent: Chatmohar is now a upazila of colorful schools. The government schools of the upazila have got a touch of new life with colors.
Various kinds of colors inside and outside of school building, school gates and walls made the educational institutions special. The colorful pictures of national fruits, birds, animals, landscapes, Bangla-English alphabets, Mina cartoon and eminent figures were depicted everywhere of the schools.
Pabna’s Chatmohar upazila administration took the initiatives to make the students artistic mind, to teach them about the nature of the country and to made the students school-bound.
Following the special steps, the schools will become more attractive leaving monotony. On the other hand, the rate of student dropout will be reduced, teachers expect.
Some government primary schools in Bothor, Dolong, Afratpara were seen in a special mood following the color touch.
Artist Manik Kumar Das provided a special flovour depicting the school walls with several kinds of fruits, flowers and kids Mina cartoons. Map of Bangladesh, portrait of eminent personalities and many kinds of moral speech were illustrated in every classes. Such type of art work is done in 20 schools of the upazila.
Lipi Khatun, Headmaster of Bothor government primary school said, “A favorable environment and better mindset are needed to teach a student. If the environment of school becomes beautiful then the students can pay attention in study. A better learning environment will be created through the step.”
Latika Sultana, Headmaster of Dolong government primary school said, “The upazila education office took a great initiative. Children will learn in a merriment environment. Students will be school-bound. Besides, the kids will be able to learn many things through the painted art works.”
Chatmohar Upazila Education Officer Ashraful Islam said, “Such steps were taken to make kids school bound from early ages. The students will enjoy their school environment if they found such colorful schools.”
The steps were taken to decorate 153 schools gradually spending money from School Level Improvement Plans (SLIPs).
