Village in Pirojpur under lockdown after death of a youth

Local administration has put a village under lockdown after the death of a 17-year old student from breathing complications on Tuesday in Bhandaria upazila of Pirojpur district.
The student died at Dakkhin Purba Dhawa village in Bhandaria upazila on Tuesday after suffering from fever, cold and sore throat.
Nazmul Alam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Bhandaria said the whole village was put under lockdown following the death of the boy.
Dr HM Zahirul Islam, a health officer of Bhandaria Upazila Health Complex, said the boy had been suffering from fever, cold, cough and sore throat for the last four days.
When his family informed the matter to the hospital over phone in the morning, the authorities concerned asked them to take him to the hospital. But, the family members kept the boy in his house avoiding the direction.
