Walton gets 1st prize at industries fair

Economic Correspondent: Walton, the country's leading electrical, electronics and home appliances manufacturing and marketing company, achieved first prize at the maiden “National Industrial Fair-2019” held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital.

Walton secured the prize under High-Tech industry category.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over prize on Saturday, the last day of the fair.

On behalf of the company, Walton Group Executive Director Alamgir Kabir Sarkar received the prize.

Walton Group Executive Director (HRM & Admin) S M Zahid Hassan and Executive Director Humayun Kabir were present in prize giving ceremony.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and Bangladesh Chamber of Industry President Anwarul Alam Chowdhury, among others, spoke in the programme, chaired by Industries Secretary Abdul Hamid.
