Walton hands over 200 PPE in Gopalganj

The country’s electronics giant Walton Group has handed over 200 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health protection of the district administration officials and physicians in Gopalganj.

Nezarat Deputy Collector (NDC) Mintu Roy, representative of Gopalganj deputy commissioner (DC), received the consignment of PPE around 2:00pm on Sunday.

The consignment includes 25 PPE for usable in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 75 general PPE.

Deputy Executive Director of Walton Group Sharif Harunur Rashid Sony, prominent businessman Sumon Sharif and former chairman of Gopinathpur union parishad Sharif Abdul Khabir was present at the moment.

NDC Minto Roy expressed gratitude to Walton Group while receiving the PPE. He said, ‘With these PPE, government officials and doctors will be interested in dealing with coronavirus. I hope Walton Group will stand for country in future too.’

Deputy Executive Director of Walton Group Sharif Harunur Rashid Sony said, ‘The number of corona patients is increasing across the country alarmingly.  Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s native district Gopalganj is also affected with the virus. District administration officials and doctors are working to reduce coronavirus infection. The PPE were given for their health protection. Walton Group will come forward to serve country in future too at any situation.’
