Water transport strike withdrawn

Senior Correspondent: The workers of Bangladesh Naujan Shramik Federation (BNSF) withdrew their strike on Wednesday noon.

After a meeting with Director General, Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) Mr Mizanur Rahman, the workers federation president Md Shah Alam and Secretary Chowhdury Ashikul Alam took the decision at secretariat office in the capital. 

Aktarul Islam, Information officer of Ministry of Labour and Employment confirmed the matter.

Earlier, a meeting took place with the demands of workers. Director General, Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) Mr Mizanur Rahman presided over the meeting.
