Wild elephants kill 3

Three people have been trampled to death by wild elephants.
The incidents took place at Kadurkhil, Syednagar and Joistapura villages under Boalkhali upazila in Chattogram early Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Abu Taher Mistri, 60, Jaker Hossain, 65, and Abdul Mabud, 60.
According to police and locals, a herd of 5-6 elephants attacked Abu Taher while he was working at his mustard field at Kadurkhil in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot.
The wild elephants swooped on Jaker Hossain, a former head master of a govt primary school, near Chandarhat Jame Mosque at Syednager, leaving him critically injured. He died on way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
On the way to the hill, the elephant herd attacked farmer Abdul Mabud, leaving him dead on the spot.
