Youth killed after thrown from 9th floor

An unknown youth was killed after thrown from rooftop of an under construction nine-story building at Khurushkul area of Tarabonia Chhara area of Cox’s Bazar sadar.

According locals and police, the owner of under construction building, adjacent to Income Tax Office, is Abdul Malek. He is a resident of Kharulia area of Cox’s Bazar sadar.

Suddently, an unknown youth was thrown from the building’s rooftop at noon, leaving him dead on the spot.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The body was sent to hospital for autopsy.

Police, however, could not tell immediately that who and why killed the youth.

Khairuzzaman, Officer-in-charge (OC-Investigation) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said labours were working in the building when the incident occurred. Eight workers were nabbed to interrogate over the incident.
