‘Youths getting involved with militancy from radicalization’

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Chief Monirul Islam has said that those are being held or arrested as militant suspects, they were somehow involved with militancy earlier.

He made the remarks at a press briefing titled "Dhaka Peace Talk", held at the media centre of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday.

The CTTC chief said, “Many of the arrestees are getting involved with militancy now. They are young of age. They are being radicalized and recruited with militancy.”
