Gold price hits new record

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of gold by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1, 11,041 per bhori.

BAJUS issued a press release on Saturday, saying that the price has been raised due to a hike in the price of the precious metal on the international market.

The new tariff will come into effect from Sunday, the release said.
