I’m not familiar with the word syndicate: State minister for commerce

Ahsanul Islam Titu, the newly-appointed state minister of the Ministry of Commerce, issued a warning against dishonest businessmen on the first day of taking charge of the Ministry.

“I don’t believe in syndicates. I am not accustomed to the word syndicate but some unscrupulous traders make extra profit by hoarding various products in the pursuit of high profits, causing sufferings to the ordinary people. I will do whatever is necessary to stop it,” the minister said during a view exchange meeting with journalists on his first working day at the Ministry of Commerce on Sunday (January 14).

Immediate action will be taken against any manipulation of consumer goods by large corporate importers, the state minister said.
