No syndicate will exist in markets from July: Titu

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam (Titu) has said that no syndicate will exist in the country’s markets from July this year.

The state minister said this while speaking at a meeting on the situation of edible oil and sugar at the conference room of the ministry on Thursday (January 18).

“I am not familiar with the term syndicate. No syndicate will exist in the country from July. Businessmen have to work with transparency and accountability. If they do business with transparency and accountability, we will support them”, he said.

He informed that commodity prices would be regulated through smart market management.
