Prices of things will go up 

Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali is proposing a Tk 7,97,000 crore budget for the fiscal 2024–25 at the Jatiya Sangsad.

This is the 53rd budget in the country and the 25th under the Awami League government.

Prices of commodities and services that are likely to increase – tobacco, cigarettes, mobile phone SIM card, LED bulbs ,   cashew nuts,    icecream, carbonated beverages , air conditioners, refrigerators,   water filter, CNG conversion kits, generator, security service and hospital instruments.
