Banking hours extended 

The Bangladesh Bank on Saturday announced the duration of interbank transactions for July 28-July 30.

According to the new schedule, transactions will take place from 10 am to 3 pm starting from July 28 (Sunday).

However, the banks will remain open until 3:30 pm to conduct post-trading activities.

Md Mezbaul Haque, executive director and spokesperson of the central bank, said scheduled banks would follow this office schedule on 28, 29, and 30 July, aligning with government office timings.

However, bank branches will close by 3:30pm after completing their ancillary office work.

Banks opened on Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 3pm during the relaxed curfew period.
