Beximco share rigging: 17 people, firms fined Tk428cr 

A total of 17 individuals and institutions have been fined Tk 428.52 crore for share rigging of Beximco Ltd.

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) took the decision in this regard in its 924th meeting held with its Chairman Khandokar Rashed Maksud in the chair on Tuesday.

A press statement said this.

This is the first time a company's investors have been fined such a high amount in the capital market's history.

Of the investors, Mosfequr Rahman has been fined the highest Tk 100 crore, Crescent Ltd has been fined Tk 70 crore, Momatazur Rahman has been fined Tk40 crore, and Abdur Rouf has been fined Tk30 crore.
