Govt allows to import 18.80 crore eggs

The government has allowed to import 18.80 crore eggs through 42 designated firms.

The Ministry of Commerce issued a notification on Tuesday.

The government has given the permission to boost supply of the key source of protein in the local market and help contain rising prices.

This import permission will expire on January 31, it also mentioned.
